While we are eagerly waiting for news regarding Enya’s new album, Irish Newspaper Independent.ie has some news regarding her earnings in 2013 – entitled Cash pile at Enya’s music business jumps by €220,000.

The cash pile at Enya’s music business firm last year jumped by over €220,000 — even though the best-selling artist hasn’t released a new album in over four years.

Figures show that the cash pile at Aigle Music Ltd, co-owned by Ireland’s most successful ever female singer, last year increased by €221,829 from €429,197 to €651,026.

The figures show that accumulated profits at the firm slipped from €1.243m to €1.173m in the 12 months to the end of June 30, 2013.

The low-profile Donegal woman, pictured, has sold 75 million albums worldwide with over 26 million sold in the US alone during a long career.

Enya’s last album release was ‘The Very Best of Enya’ released in November 2009, which spent 56 non-consecutive weeks at No 1 on the Billboard New Age Album Charts.
