New Age Stars Radio back on Live365.com

813

It is with great pleasure we announce that New Age Stars Radio is “on air” on the new Live365.com network. We also have a brand new, licensed stream for international users. The channel’s main goal is the same as it was in 2008 when it was launched; to promote the music of independent, hard-working artists to a global community of dedicated New Age music fans.

The life of a small webcaster is not easy. The new rules given by the music industry are designed for Spotify, Apple and other giants. These rules (“pay per stream”) made Live365 go out of business in early 2016, because their business model at that time did not match with the new reality given by the Copyright Royalty Board.

One channel, two streams
But now is Live365 back, under new ownership and with a fresh take on the rules. Sadly this means that the radio portal, who exclusively reports to American collecting agencies, is only available in the US.

This is why we also have a New Age Stars stream for international listeners. This stream is licensed by SOCAN and broadcasted from Canada. Canadian rules allow webcasting internationally. It is not a perfect solution, but it is the only solution available at the moment. We would like to pay per stream internationally too.

We encourage American listeners to use the Live365.com stream because this ensure payment to artists and labels in correspondence with current US rules.

We will use the opportunity to say that we are sorry about all the changes with New Age Stars Radio over the last year. Again; it is not easy being a small webcaster these days. Many great web channels have gone offline for good. But now we have new streaming agreements with trustworthy companies.

Thank you for tuning in! A big thanks to our sponsors as well. We could not have done this without you 🙂

You may listen to New Age Stars by using the players to your right. Here is our station page on Live365.
