ATLANTA, GA – Acclaimed pianists Matthew Mayer and John Burke will perform a piano concert on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at 7:30 pm at Emory Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Both pianists will perform original works from their solo piano albums, which have achieved international praise.
Matthew Mayer is a solo pianist from Omaha, Nebraska, and the founder of SoloPiano.com, an internationally popular site and radio station dedicated to solo piano music. Releasing his 10th album this year, Mayer’s prolific music career has achieved multiple awards from around the world, and his robust style has pioneered the new age music industry.
John Burke is a solo pianist from Atlanta, Georgia. Since 2011, Burke has released five critically acclaimed solo piano albums. Inspired by George Winston and Ray Manzarek, Burke has created a powerful and energetic style of piano music, blending classicism with jazz and new age music. Burke’s most recent work, Orogen, is his most ambitious and inventive album yet.
Emory Presbyterian Church is located at 1886 North Decatur Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30307. Tickets are $10, and CDs will be available after the show. Fans can also meet the two gregarious pianists.

Since graduating from Oglethorpe University in 2011, John has composed five critically acclaimed solo piano albums, two of which were finalists for Album of the Year at SoloPiano.com. John has also composed film and theatre scores, directed musical theatre, performed jazz throughout Atlanta, and collaborated with a wide variety of instrumentalists, singers, and writers.
