The question in the title might seem relevant today, but it was asked 20 years ago in Elisabeth Le Guin’s article in New York Times. Her article is a fascinating read, and it goes like this:

So I guess the answer to the question in the title is, yes, the stigma didn’t kill New Age music. It is still alive and kickin’
