Jillian Aversa has the following news for us:
I’ve got a brand new one to show you today… the “Snake Eater” theme from Metal Gear Solid 3. Directed by Landon Donoho and featuring a cameo from my husband Andrew (zircon) as Naked Snake, this video was tons of fun to make. Our idea was to pay tribute to classic James Bond movie openings like Goldfinger using retro visual effects and costuming.
Toward the end of 2014, I decided to shift my focus from doing full-length albums to releasing singles and music videos on a more frequent basis. I’ve always loved collaboration and the visual arts, so this has been a really positive change for me.
The first video I released was “Generations,” my Zelda: Ocarina of Time arrangement from Atlantis Awakening. This (and all the others) was directed by Landon Donoho and features some amazing costumes and actresses!
Next, I worked with zircon to create a remix from the hit game Destiny. We arranged “Hope for the Future”, written by Paul McCartney, who actually “tipped his hat” to us over Twitter. It doesn’t get much more amazing than that @_@ For this video, I created three custom costumes based on the character classes in the game.
Lastly, we released a music video for “Will o’ the Wisp,” my collaboration with Grammy-award winning composer Christopher Tin! The video really fits the mood and atmosphere of the song perfectly, and on a side note, the little girl was wonderful to work with and very patient considering we were shooting until 5AM.
