Supporting New Age Music Artists During the Covid-19 Pandemic

783

To raise more awareness around the Covid-19 pandemic’s impact on musicians everywhere, Bandcamp is waiving their revenue share on sales this Friday, March 20 (from midnight to midnight Pacific Time), and rallying the page’s community to put much-needed money directly into artists’ pockets.

The Covid-19 pandemic has hit artists especially hard as tours and shows are canceled for the foreseeable future.

“For many artists, a single day of boosted sales can mean the difference between being able to pay rent or not,” says Ethan Diamond, co-founder & CEO of Bandcamp. “Still, we consider this just a starting point. Musicians will continue to feel the effects of lost touring income for many months to come, so we’re also sharing some ideas below on how fans can support the artists they love and how artists can give fans new, creative ways to provide support.”

Below is a selection of excellent, recently published New Age music available on Bandcamp (see our selection of New Age music albums on Bandcamp here)

Shoshana Michel – Impressions

Hollan Holmes – Milestones

The Stick EWI Project- In The Moonlight (Michael Kollwitz & Walton Mendelson)

Deeper Imaginings by Paul Adams & Elizabeth Geyer
