The independent record label group Valley Entertainment and Dancing Cat Records announce a marketing and label partnership. Dancing Cat, founded by George Winston, includes George’s historical catalog. The partnership, including both physical and digital distribution, will make George Winston and Dancing Cat Records’ catalog available for digital download via high-resolution formats for the first time.

Valley Entertainment is a privately owned record label group that was founded in 1994. In addition to the eponymous label that includes an eclectic repertoire from pop to alternative, the group includes Hearts of Space Records – an ambient and world music leader, and Sledgehammer Blues – featuring audiophile blues and jazz. The group, boasting a roster in excess of 550 artists, has served as a physical distributor of the instrumental acoustic music pioneer Windham Hill Records.
Dancing Cat Records was founded in 1983 by pianist George Winston. An undeniably household name, Winston has inspired fans and musicians alike with his singular solo acoustic piano songs for more than 40 years while selling 15 million albums. With the goal to record both the musicians who have influenced his music and whose music he felt needed to be preserved for future generations, Dancing Cat Records has produced 39 recordings in their “Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Masters Series”.
