The name of Dan Kennedy’s new Christmas album is An Enchanted Noël. “This
album has been many years in the making, perhaps decades,” says Dan.
An Enchanted Noël is a potpourri of traditional Classical carols, pop favorites, and a couple of originals.
“I would like to share with you the story of one of my originals,” continues Dan “I’m featuring For Those Not Here. The piece is an original which came to me the first night of recording, in my hotel room. At around midnight, I was trying to sleep, but the tune popped into my imagination, which is rare for me that I have a piece come to me so intact. The piece switches back and forth between A Major and F# Major like an entity that moves back and forth between heaven and earth … an angel? I’ve also wondered if the mystery spirit was my mom Dorothy, a great lover of Christmas music, who passed away in 2018.”
“Whatever the case, it is a moody album, perfect for those quiet moments with family, a
