International award-winning Australian electronic musician and composer, Jim Ottaway, has just released his new electronic/ambient album Cosmic Odyssey.
Cosmic Odyssey features ten electronic/ambient tracks all focusing on the wonders of the cosmos. The tracks cover various sub-genres including space ambient music, neo-classical and hints of Berlin School. The new album is in a similar vein to my other award-winning releases such as Deep Space Blue (2017) and Beyond the Purple Sun (2019).

The tracks on this album were recorded as early as June 2005 and recording and production were completed in May 2025. As with most of Jim’s my electronic /ambient albums, the tracks are generally live improvised studio recordings with minimal overdubs, although on this album there are a few more structured pieces.
Jim composes and records all his music in his home studio situated at the foothills of the beautiful Springbrook Mountain on the Gold Coast, Australia.
