Joshua Zimmerman’s new album, Finding Peace, is a deeply personal and evolving musical journey that ultimately centers on themes of hope, joy, and the discovery of peace amidst life’s challenges.
Press release by High Note Promotions
The album’s concept initially began in late July 2024, with an idea to explore different life stages through music, reflecting periods like “childhood,” “high school,” and “college.”
However, the creative process took an unexpected turn after Zimmerman started writing a song about the grief felt after the passing of his brother, Justin, in 2014. A creative block on this initial piece led to a significant shift in his overall songwriting.
Inspired by his children and wife, Zimmerman’s focus shifted toward themes of hope and joy. This new direction led to the creation of songs overflowing with love, emotion, and thanksgiving.
