Marshall Barnhouse’s Divine Passage was composed to reflect times from one’s divinely appointed passage through this world. The individual selections have been inspired by the rich experiences and great blessings of the composer’s personal journey.

Marshall Barnhouse is a pianist, composer, teacher and recording artist who has spent his life pursuing his love of music since the age of 8. In every setting, his goal is to guide others into the beautiful, expressive, and spiritual qualities of musical experience.

Marshall is a Glenville State College music education graduate and holds a Masters of Arts in Piano Performance from Marshall University. Throughout his professional career he has performed different genres of music in various venues. He is a retired public school music teacher and presently maintains a private studio in Hurricane, WV. He also serves as organist/ accompanist at Forrest Burdette Memorial United Methodist Church where he plays the world-famous Harrah Symphonic Organ.

Throughout his career Marshall has composed music for piano, bands, choirs, handbells and orchestra. He currently has published works with Augsburg Fortress Press, GIA Publications, and World Library Publications. He currently is working toward launching his own publishing company, Pinnacle View Music.

Marshall has recorded three CDs and recorded his “Divine Passage” in July 2019 at Piano Haven, in Sedona AZ. His music has been played on Enlightened Piano Radio (EPR), Whisperings Solo Piano Radio, Journeyscapes Radio, and One World Music Radio. He was awarded “Best New Artist” at the EPR Awards at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN, in September 2017. He was also nominated for “Best Christian Album” in 2016 by solopiano.com. Marshall performed in the Discovery Concert featuring new artists with Whisperings Solo Piano Radio in Atlanta in February 2019. His most recent nomination was for “Best Solo Album” with EPR where he performed at the awards ceremony at the Place des Arts in Montreal, Canada.
