Laraaji has just released an album called “Vision Songs Vol. 1”
It is a Laraaji album like no other, located at the intersection of New Age music and gospel, his outlier and magnum opus, the feel-good DIY tape of the century.
From Casio synth jams recorded at spiritual retreat guest rooms and a tiny bedroom on the Upper West Side in 1984, to lysergically-spectacular anthems for a continually arriving new moment – “Vision Songs Vol. 1” is a voyage in music like no other.
“Channeled from the sky,” humbly offered on vinyl for the first time.
Laraaji is one one of the very few artists that are pushing the boundries of New Age music, and showing that this is not a boring and uninspired genre.
