“Protection” is the final album in Rigzin’s Sacred Trilogy. The mantras are from the unbroken lineages of Tibetan Buddhism. In these critical times, with the destruction of the planet and division among people, just hearing these powerful prayers of “Protection” offer unfathomable benefit, protecting us from harm. This is an ancient spiritual technology of transmutation, dispelling negativities for oneself and all beings, and destroying the obscurations that prevent us from recognizing the enlightened true nature inherent in all.

The past two years have been a journey for Rigzin Tromge, from a successful Kickstarter campaign to the new album release of Protection today. Rigzin never dreamed of becoming a singer. She dedicated her life to practicing the meditations of Tibetan Buddhism, with her foremost pursuit in the meditation practices of Vajrayana (Tibetan) Buddhism. She was trained intensively to sing the prayers of elaborate ceremonies, during her traditional 3-year retreat, now 30 years ago. After so many years of practice, her aspiration was to simplify these ancient esoteric spiritual techniques, making their benefits easily accessible for modern times.
After the passing of Rigzin’s Teacher – renowned in Tibet for his voice – the doors magically began to open when she agreed to say mantras for a friend’s Loved One in transition. They were so moved, they asked to record her prayers, different as they sounded from the deep chants of Gregorian Monks, which are more common.
The first album in the trilogy, “Union”, is a “Greatest Hits” of the most common Tibetan Buddhist Mantras. “Transition – Prayers for the Dead and Dying” – album two – are practices and mantras that support beings through death and dying. Each album is a complete practice, effortlessly guiding the listener from lineage to dedication, subtly developing our wisdom and compassion.
