Secret Garden has released a DVD called “Live at Kilden: 20th Anniversary Concert” on Heart of Space Records.
The film features 21 of Rolf Løvland and Fionnuala Sherry’s greatest hits including “You Raise Me Up” – made famous in the States by Josh Groban, and “Nocturne” – the song that launched their career with a victory at the Eurovision 1995.
The Kilden event celebrates the Norwegian-Irish duo’s two decade career that includes eight studio albums with sales in excess of 5 million copies. The concert features the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra along with special guest artists such as Ole Edvard Antonsen, Tracey Campbell, Cathrine Iversen and Espen Grjotheim.
The DVD is a Region 0 for worldwide play. It is available here.
In other Secret Garden related news, here’s how Rolf and Fionnuala sum up the year 2016 in their newsletter:
“Music is a wonderful healer and has the ability to open doors to our own special place deep inside us all. Still, after 21 years of playing together, it never ceases to surprise Rolf and I when we visibly see this happen to our audience during our performances.
Maybe two of our most memorable performances in the last few years occurred in Dublin last week. We had the opportunity to perform at a special Christmas charity concert in the Pro Cathedral. All the proceeds went to one of the local homeless charities as well as an animal charity -Dogs Trust and Dogs Aid, all who help with the devastation and brutality of puppy farms delivering puppies in the most horrible circumstances to people who buy them for Christmas and soon to abandon them after!
The concert could have been sold out 3 times over as so many people came. The line-up was extraordinary; for the first time we had three ex-Eurovision winners together on stage, Johnny Logan, Linda Martin and us Secret Garden as well as the unbelievable Irish soprano Celine Byrne!”
