Alpha Wave Movement – Polyphasic Music

1290

Alpha Wave Movement’s “Polyphasic Music” is composed on a bare minimum of hardware synthesizers with no computer-aided software such as sequencers, quantization et al. The nucleus of these compositions stem from live free-form improvisation with the sole purpose of creating an environment for cognizant relaxation.

This is pure deep ambient music with zero beats or heavy rhythmic distractions.

“Polyphasic Music” is available on Bandcamp:

Greg Kyryluk is the creator of the musical project Alpha Wave Movement (established 1992 in Miami, Florida) an alias onto which he creates an amalgam of contemporary electronic instrumental music. Drawing from the wellspring influences of 1970’s space rock, euro-centric electronica, and ambient music to create his own aesthetic mode of expressionism with a focus on emotion and melodic rendezvous.

Alpha Wave Movement along with his eastern electronica tinged side project Open Canvas has released music on the Groove Unlimited, Silent Records, Waveform, Spiralight, Anodize, and Harmonic Resonance Recordings labels. Music from both projects have been featured in the famous Grand Theft Auto IV video game and the popular HBO series True Blood as well as having been featuring on Hearts of Space.

Greg Kyryluk’s latest venture ambient dub project Subtle Shift focuses on introspective environmentally infused atmospheres interwoven with underlying dub-laden synth baselines and downtempo rooted rhythmic harmony. A facet of exploration into new music territories is still the fundamental point of convergence for all of his music production.
