James Marienthal – Across The Sky/Peace And Power

667

James Marienthal has created a stunningly beautiful instrumental medley focusing on two popular songs previously recorded by renowned Native American vocalist Joanne Shenandoah. This compelling original arrangement is played on Native American flute, with percussion and lovely vocal accompaniment, echoing Shenandoah’s angelic voice.

Shenandoah sadly passed away in November of 2021 at the age of 64. She was one of the most highly acclaimed Native American recording artists of all time, with dozens of awards including a GRAMMY nomination, a NAMA Lifetime Achievement Award, and induction into the Native American Music Hall of Fame.
