Breath of Gratitude, the new album to Billboard-charting and award-winning Vocal New Age Recording Artist Juliet Lyons of Los Angeles, is now out. The album is a musical representation and exploration of Juliet’s journey with the rare and chronic airway disease, idiopathic subglottic stenosis. The album trailer (see below) features Juliet’s voiceover describing the “before” and “after” feelings she experiences as she undergoes biannual surgeries to continue to breathe and live life. The narration sits atop lush, ethereal vocals and dramatic percussion, while the video begins in black and white and transitions to color, representing the feeling of new life and the exhilaration of the return to effortless breathing, as narrated by Juliet.
A prolific songwriter and composer, Juliet admitted reluctance to releasing the album trailer. Said Juliet, “The trailer feels extremely revealing and I don’t share much of my private world with anyone. BUT – I believe in doing things that scare you, and I feel a calling to be open about this – as an emotional release, yes – but even more so to shed light on this rare disease, and let others know they are not alone in their struggles.”
