Karen Biehl – Portal To Peace Review

1158

In today’s hectic world, where life seems to get more and more busy with each passing month, Karen Biehl’s “Portal to Peace – A Mini Meditation For Relaxation In Minutes” is a true find. I know it is hard to believe that five minutes of guided meditation is enough. But yes, sometimes five minutes is all it takes – at least when you have a Portal to Peace at your disposal. This short piece of guided music really has life-changing possibilities. Use it before an exam or important business interview and you’ll experience its magic.

Karen Biehl has studied with former Metropolitan Opera star Thomas Hayward before completing her master’s degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She is also classically trained in piano and violin. She is the creator of the “Journey to True Love“, “Journey to True Health” and “Journey to True Purpose” guided meditation series. In 2018 Karen released her first album of solo music, “Starlight Dreams“, for which she received the Best Solo Piano 2018 award here on New Age Music Guide.

Mini Meditation
When you put on “Portal to Peace”, you are immediately surrounded and immersed by music. I’m very impressed by Biehl’s sound design. The song reminds me of Constance Demby’s masterpiece “Novus Magnificat – Through The Stargate“. The harp-like pluck synth and heavenly voices are, as always, a magnificent combination. It gives the song a larger-than-life feel, and your attention is instantly drawn away from the world around you and into the music. The speed of the song is also a factor. It is fast, much faster than ordinary meditation music, simply because there’s not a second to spare.

8 seconds into the song (it feels much longer) we are warmly greeted by Biehl. Her voice is wonderful, strong and authoritative – and the things she says are words of wisdom. If you have listened to any other of Biehl’s programs, you will feel right at home.

I very much enjoy the melody. Notice how it almost stops, then continues – right back on track again. It makes the song interesting and engaging. The opera vocal on the background, starting around 3 minutes and 40 seconds, is amazing too. The thing I like the best though, is that it is so real, so heartfelt. These kinds of programs often feel like a cliché from beginning to end. But not this one. This is the real deal.

In conclusion: Karen Biehl’s “Portal to Peace – A Mini Meditation For Relaxation In Minutes” is a remarkable release. Usually meditation albums are long and require a peaceful setting. “Portal to Peace”, on the other hand, can be used anywhere, anytime. It is a handy meditation tool everyone should have on their phones. That would definitely make the world a better and more peaceful place.

Don’t take my word for it though. If you have 5 minutes to spare, try it for yourself and see what the Portal to Peace can do for you!

You may purchase the program for $0.99 on Amazon.
