As a musician, Ken’s focus is acoustic guitar, although his most recent release features his electric guitar. Ken has been featured on several sampler releases – Winter Gifts, and Winter Gifts II (Many Miles Music), The Gathering (2012) which includes songs from 22 artists produced by GRAMMY-winning guitarist, Will Ackerman at his Imaginary Road Studios in Vermont. The Gathering won the Zone Music Reporter Album of the Year in 2012. Recently both Ken’s music and photography was featured on the sampler CD Best New Age Reviews – The Guitar, which contains some of the world’s best guitarists.
Consider the Moon & Stars is a bit different from his 10 previous releases – First Light, Lights Over Quinhagak, Through the Veil of Tears, Spring Reflections, Summer Reflections, Autumn Reflections, Winter Reflections, Dreamfield, A Place Called Home, and Beneath a Prairie Moon. Verheecke usually composes New Age music with a focus on his acoustic guitar, but Consider the Moon & Stars takes a detour into the genres of chill/groove with Ken’s electric guitar melodies but still has the beautiful elements that make Ken’s music take one on a journey into peace and relaxation.
Consider the Moon & Stars can be purchased on Amazon, iTunes and Bandcamp. Ken’s music can be streamed on Spotify, Pandora and Google Play.
