Accumulated profits at Enya’s music business firm topped €1m last year, new figures show.
Recently-filed accounts for the singer’s Aigle Music Company Ltd show that accumulated profits dropped marginally from €1.173m to €1.074m in the 12 months to the end of June, last.
The figures also show that the cash pile during the year reduced from €651,026 to €619,809.
The low-profile Co Donegal singer has sold 75m albums worldwide, with over 26m sold in the US alone during a long career. Her last album release was The Very Best of Enya, released in November 2009. It spent 56 non-consecutive weeks at No1 on the Billboard New Age Album Charts.
The singer — whose real name is Eithne Ní Bhraonáin — was the world’s biggest- selling artist in 2001 and 2002.
