Music for peace, beauty and meditation is the intention of David Joseph Jennings’ recording Love Is. There are nine movements, and each movement is an expression of love. The recording features David on vibraphone and the vocalist KONISHI. The vibes and voice are integrated into lush virtual sounds to express love and create a beautiful and organic listening experience.
“This album is dedicated to world peace,” says David. “All words seem to fall short in saying what is the Truth. Even the most seemingly beautiful words can create some
degrees of division. Words cannot describe the indescribable, speak the unspeakable, and think the unthinkable, they apparently can only point. There is one word though that seems to be what is pointed to, and that is Love. How do you define Love? All words seem small in trying to define it. However, we just seem to know it, knowing the unknowable.”

“The truth of every apparent thing, is Love. Even its apparent opposite, hate. If we dive deep into hate, eventually it will melt away and lead to the underlying, which is Love,” says David. “We abide in Love, we are combined by Love, we are made of Love, we simply are Love. When I say Love Is, there are an infinite number of words and phrases to finish a statement. I chose 8 ways to conclude this statement, in naming 8 out of the 9 tracks on this album. The ninth and final track is called Love Is, which says it all.”
David Joseph Jennings, born and raised in the Chicagoland area, is a composer, drummer, vibraphonist, clinician and teacher with more than 40 years of experience. He has played drums, vibes and percussion in various ensembles of jazz, Latin, rock, world,
classical, fusion and big band styles with some of the greatest musicians from all
around the world. In February of 2022, David released his recording entitled Faith of a Flower, included eight compositions. The Ambient/New Age music features David on
Vibraphone.
