“Here I Am” is the first single release from Omar Akram’s upcoming full album release “Destiny”. The single was released in digital stores worldwide on June 21st with an accompanying official video on YouTube. The vocals were sung by Walter Afanasieff, a Brazilian-American songwriter and record producer best known for his long association with Mariah Carey as well as his work with Whitney Houston, Lionel Richie, Barbra Streisand and Christina Aguilera. Walter is a Grammy Award recipient for Record Of The Year for “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion.
‘’Destiny,’’ to be released August 9th, is Omar’s first release since his critically acclaimed album Daytime Dreamer. The new album was produced by the legendary Walter Afanasieff and features an eighty-piece symphony orchestra conducted by Shardad Rohani (Yanni: Live at the Acropolis).
Omar is currently producing a weekly docu-series titled ”Omar’s Music Chamber,” which will launch in the summer of 2019 and features a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process, his family life with wife Merry and their two children as well as interactions with entertainment industry A-listers including Walter Afanasieff, E! founder Larry Namer, actor Ken Davitian, (Borat, The Artist), The Harris Brothers and many others.
