On 14 May, Darlene Koldenhoven will release her first solo piano album called “The Grand Piano Spa”. Later this year, “The Grand Piano Spa: Legacy” will be released too!
The albums were born out of the isolation of the 2020 pandemic. The long separation from the camaraderie of fellow musicians and the live concert performances yielded this two-part solo piano epic by Darlene Koldenhoven.
“The Grand Piano Spa” is a beautiful, emotive, New Age collection of 9 original solo pieces is crafted to highlight her mastery and heartfelt sensitivity of expression on the grand pianoforte. Whether improvised or composed, melodies and musicality abound in many modes within the warmth of a very calming spa-like atmosphere. There are 38 minutes of luxurious sound to soak in for the attentive listener or for background ambiance while reading, dining, falling asleep, yoga, massage, or taking pleasure in the simple things of life.
