A new year and new possibilities! I think a wind of hope – and probably a few new year’s resolutions too – are reflected in the New Age Music Chart for January 2021. The Song Gardeners’ “Warrior of Light”, this month’s no. 1, sums up the atmosphere perfectly. There are some fantastic new albums here too. David Wahler proves once again that he is one of this genre’s finest artists, and Michelle Qureshi is brilliant as usual. It looks like 2021 is going to be yet another great year to follow New Age music!
Sherry Finzer’s “Renewal” is also highly recommended. Ayla Schafer’s “Silent Voices” fell to 8th place, but no one can doubt that she is a star in the making. In other news: Enya is still going strong with “Dark Sky Island”. I recently reported that her homepage – Enya.com – now has been down for a whole year! Why no one knows.
