Why do we need music? Looking at the September 2023 New Age music chart, the answers come easy: we need it to be inspired, to dream, to heal, to bring us together – and, my favorite, to create memories.
On the top of the list is Richard Theisen’s Estonia. Theisen’s well-crafted arrangements and melodic genius make for an informative yet calming musical journey. Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells 4 Intro continues to perform strongly, despite this particular version of Tubular Bells is just a taste of what this piece of music could have been. Kirsten Agresta Copely’s Aquamarine is a winner from start to finish. Another favorite on the list is David Darling’s classic 8-String Religion.

The score is based on three factors; (1) The popularity of an artist’s tag on Newagemusic.guide, (2) the number of streams in the built-in players, and (3) the number of requests for songs from an album, to be played on New Age Stars Radio.
